Kestrel Land Trust is now seeking applicants for a new full-time staff position: Conservation and Stewardship Manager.
The Conservation and Stewardship Manager will manage land conservation and stewardship projects under the supervision of the Executive Director and in close collaboration with a staff of six, in partnership with municipal, state and federal conservation agencies. Primary responsibilities will include landowner outreach and negotiations, arranging for appraisals, conducting due diligence and legal work, budgeting, financial reporting, participating in town meetings, creating baseline property reports, GIS mapping, conservation restriction drafting, property monitoring, easement defense, and grant writing. This position will also be responsible for administrative duties including managing property and GIS databases and record-keeping in accordance with national accreditation standards.
Kestrel Land Trust conserves and cares for farmland, woodlands, and wildlands in the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts. Our office is located in downtown Amherst, MA. This is a full-time position at 40-hours/week with a flexible schedule. Salary is commensurate with experience. Health care and other benefits offered.
