Katie Carr

Katie’s childhood explorations of the tide pools and mountains of the Pacific Northwest sparked her passion for the natural world. Now a resident of Easthampton, Katie has been involved with Kestrel as a volunteer and contractor since 2014. Prior to joining the KLT staff, Katie was the Engagement Manager at Hilltown Land Trust, where she took the lead on communications and fundraising. She also served as a TerraCorps Community Engagement Coordinator at Hilltown Land Trust and Grow Food Northampton. Katie has a Bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature from New York University and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Long Island University, and worked as a rare book librarian before transitioning to the world of land conservation.
