Joanna S. Ballantine is a financial services representative with the Davis Financial Group in Hadley. As part of the Davis Financial Group team, Joanna helps her clients achieve their financial goals and understand, protect, preserve, grow and share their assets—and their values—during their lives and beyond. Prior to joining DFG in 2020, Joanna served as the Executive Director of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation for over a decade and most recently as Vice President for the Western Region for the nations’ oldest comprehensive conservation and preservation organization founded in 1891, The Trustees of Reservations. Joanna has an MSW from the University of Maryland, an MA from Baltimore Hebrew University and a BA from Hampshire College. Joanna serves on the Advisory Board of The Trustees, The Board of Directors of a national interfaith organization; 18 Doors, and the Board of the Biodynamic Farmland Trust (Brookfield Farm). Joanna especially enjoys hiking, fresh farm food, yoga and exploring Massachusetts special places with her husband Clay, their teenage son Caleb and two Bernese Mountain dogs. Her daughter, Hannah, is currently a student at Hampshire College. Joanna is energized to share her passion for land conservation and skills in engaging the next generation in the outdoors, in order to advance Kestrel’s mission.
