
Chris became interested in land stewardship while working toward a master’s degree in conservation biology at Antioch University. She came to Antioch with a master’s degree in English and 12 years’ experience in conservation and education nonprofits. While there, she served as Land Conservation Steward for the Monadnock Conservancy and studied migrating saw-whet owls for her thesis. She served as Kestrel’s Land Steward through the AmeriCorps MassLIFT program for two years before coming on board as Kestrel’s first Stewardship Manager.
