In July 2018, voters at Town Meeting in Southampton agreed to conserve 85 acres that had been slated for development. Today, the preserve is called Clearwater Woodland, and is a beautiful, popular spot. None of this would have come to pass without the help of Kestrel Land Trust and Mark Wamsley, who counseled and cheered us on throughout the process. The photo shows us celebrating after the overwhelmingly favorable vote. Here’s to conservation and Kestrel Land Trust!
