Yoga in Nature: Fall Season
October 22 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Join us for Yoga in Nature, a seasonal yoga tune-up to stay in step with the changing seasons and enjoy the beauty of the Mt. Holyoke Range and Plum Brook Pond at Kestrel’s headquarters. The fall session will take place on Sunday, October 22, 9:00 – 10:30 am.
Yoga is learning the topography of your own body and mind. It teaches us how to experience ourselves more in our entirety—physically, mentally, energetically, and spiritually. This happens in a very natural way just by noticing the cadence of our breath, the placement of our feet, the sensations in our body, and the thoughts in our head. A good yoga practice is a lot like a good walk in the woods. Both help us to feel more at home in ourselves and the world around us by being more attentive and present in the moment.
Katie Shults of BUILD Yoga & Wellness has been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga for over 30 years. Katie will lead a one-hour yoga practice, followed by a 30-minute walking meditation around Plum Brook Pond led by Kestrel’s Executive Director, Kristin DeBoer. The class will take place outdoors, whether the temperature is cool or warm. In case of rain, class may take place indoors. (Note: Yoga mats are NOT provided; please bring your own.)
Each session is limited to 12 participants. The cost is $25/session.
The yoga sessions will be held at Kestrel Land Trust’s Headquarters at Sweet Alice Conservation Area in South Amherst on four Sundays from 9 am – 10:30 am:
- SPRING: April 16 (passed)
- SUMMER: June 11 (passed)
- FALL: October 22
- WINTER: January 7, 2024
Attendance at all four sessions is not required. A separate registration link will be set up for each session.
