Walk & Talk: The World of Vernal Pools
April 8, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Amphibians like frogs and salamanders have a unique life cycle that often depends on a small breeding area called a vernal pool. We’re pleased to again have educator Brandon Abbott show us the mysteries of a vernal pool in the Saw Mill Hills of Northampton. A great family event, Brandon will bring equipment for gathering and inspecting fairy shrimp, frog eggs, and other creatures up close! Join us to learn about the creatures that depend on the vernal pool–before it vanishes.
Event is limited to 25 participants: Only a few spaces left! RSVP required to learn the meeting location. Email office@kestreltrust.org.
This event takes place on land permanently conserved by the City of Northampton, with assistance from Kestrel.
