Sense of Place Creative Writing Restorative Virtual Retreat
December 12 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
We all have stories of place and belonging waiting to be remembered and revealed. During this time of traveling less due to the pandemic, being grounded in our connections to place has become all the more apparent and important. This creative writing restorative retreat with Erica Wheeler will help you travel in your heart to meaningful places and gain some practical creative tools along the way.
Erica will guide you on a creative journey to find and express stories of connections to places from your past or present. You will experience powerful writing prompts you can use again and again to spark ideas or to polish and hone your writings. See the familiar through fresh eyes. Tap into a deep well of stories and creativity inside you. Feel nourished by a morning of inspiration, community, and restoration that connects people and place.
Erica Wheeler, owner of Sense of Place Consulting, is a visitor experience specialist, interpretive trainer, and creative mentor who works with parks, museums, conservation and preservation organizations and agencies. If you don’t know where you are, you don’t know who you are.”– Wendell Berry
