Expressing Your View: Photography with Michael Zide
January 30 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
How does the sight of a sunrise make you feel? Or a view of a mountain veiled in clouds and shadow? Can those feelings be captured with a photograph?
On Wednesday, January 30 at 7 pm, join Kestrel and professional photographer, Michael Zide, for an inspiring visual presentation and talk exploring the answers to these questions. Michael will share his photography and talk about the “search for self” in the way we see the landscape, and how we choose to express our emotional connection to place through the photographs that we make.
This program is for anyone who loves the beauty of land, not just photographers!
Michael Zide is a photography educator and long-standing member of Moab Paper’s “Masters of Photography” program and an “Ambassador” for Manfrotto camera and lighting supports. His photographs are in museum, corporate, and private art collections. See more of his work at www.michaelzidephotography.com
NEW LOCATION: The program will take place at the Forbes Library in the Calvin Coolidge Library & Museum space. This program is free and open to the public, but registration is strongly encouraged.
