“Come to the Woods” Da Camera Singers Benefit Concert

January 17, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Tall trees

If you love music, poetry and nature, then please mark your calendar for a special event on Friday, January 17, 2020. The Da Camera Singers will perform a concert they call “Come to the Woods!” with a repertoire of songs about the woods and nature. Among the music presented that evening, the program will feature “The Great Trees” with music by Gwyneth Walker and text by writer Wendell Berry and “Come to the Woods” with music by Jake Runestad and text by John Muir.

The concert is free and open to the public, and will take place in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College.

About the Singers: Da Camera Singers are a group of musicians who are passionate about singing, and perform sacred and secular music for lovers of the choral art in the Pioneer Valley. In addition to singing eclectic historical choral repertoire, we are committed to commissioning and premiering works of established and young composers. Our concerts are free and accessible to all, and special benefit concerts feature goodwill offerings that generously support other nonprofits in the community.

Thanks to the generosity of the Singers, the concert is free but all donations will benefit Kestrel Land Trust’s work to conserve the land you love. Donations will be welcome at the concert, or you may donate online using the link below.

Registration is not required, but it is appreciated!
