Breakfast & Birding at Kestrel’s Home on the Range

May 14, 2022 @ 7:00 am - 11:00 am

Birders looking up

Celebrate spring with birdsong, good company, and nourishing food! Join us on World Migratory Bird Day, Saturday, May 14, at Kestrel’s new Home on the Range in Amherst to explore the forest edges and pond area and learn about migratory and resident birds.

Your expert guides to the season’s avian visitors will be David Peake-Jones and Mike Locher, both of Hampshire Bird Club. David and Mike are knowledgeable birders and patient teachers, so this program can be a good novice birder experience. (Binoculars strongly recommended.)

This two-part event will be held 7:00 am to 11:00 am. After the morning bird walk, we’ll return to the Kestrel House and enjoy a breakfast spread provided by Small Oven Bakery (including gourmet quiches, sweet pastries, and fresh fruit) and birding conversation!

$25 per person. Proceeds benefit Kestrel Land Trust.

This event is now full. If you would like to be added to the wait list, please email marilyn@kestreltrust.org.
